Why were there several small 5' 4" 130 lb. women (DEI) agents on Trump's (or any) secret service protection detail!?
You know, this documentary was very fascinating for me, but its not because of how Musashi sank, its how her wreck looks like on the sea floor of the Subuyan Sea, when I first saw pictures of her wreck, I was in total shock because I had already seen photographs and models of the wreck of Yamato and when I saw Musashi's wreck for the first time these were the first words that popped into my head: "I was not expecting that."
WHEN MEN WERE MEN AND WOMEN WERE GLAD OF IT, BEFORE MEN PLAYED WITH EACH OTHERS HAIR, WORE MAKE-UP, AND WORE WOMENS CLOTHES AND UNDERGARMENTS, THEY DRANK DARK BEER AND ATE VEGETABLES AND MEAT EVERY DAY, they went to the pub to get away from their women and kids and talked about real things,
Wonderful documentary. Very interesting & informative & full of history. Many thanks.
Absolutely fantastic. Given the fact orion still had no interiors no engines no boilers mo woodwork no life boats ECT yet fitted,, I must say there was less work in a pyramid. As of titanic all of the work to be lost including 3000 dozen eggs simply to be taken buy the ocean...
Yamato (aka: Star Blazers)
All those resources probably could have built 4+ aircraft carriers
Still, I find a square rigged ship much more beautiful.
super interesting documentary. I always recommend it to Tour Guides on the island
51:05 Wow, imagine if Adm. Kurita decided to push through with this attack. The Yamato and other IJN ships would've been able to score really big in this battle.
Please, helpme someone with this Final song - Joshua... Couldnt find anywhere at all!
Thankfully germany wasted money on capital ships they could have put into subs and japan wasted money on these two impressive and beautiful ships instead of building more carriers and starting the war with even more naval aviators.
if it's denser than water and floats, it's sinkable
Monte Markham was a fabulous narrator and accomplished actor.
In 1945 the Yamato sank💀 the Yamato had a lot of holes and bombers and torpedoes planes in wave 1 he survived in wave 2 still survived in wave 3 he got so damaged the ship exploded in 2 half the wreck of musashi was found by a Philippines guy
That is the strangest documentary I have ever seen. Fascinating.
I wonder what those hard working men thought of all the VIP's and local dignitaries who went off for a champagne lunch afterwards !
They knew it wasn’t their place or station. Wouldn’t have heard the speeches anyway, being deaf from the rivetting.
I lived in barrow from the Early 80s great town and pubs…left in 2005 for Australia, great decision, never looked back.
So many people died from asbestos related illnesses
At the launch , when the ropes stretched and broke , the power generated was able to cut a man in half if they strayed too close to the slip and indeed this happened on numerous occasions ovet the years .
They said Titanic was unsinkable, but that ship got beat by a chunk of frozen water. Musashi and Yamoto both took about the equivalent of 15000 tons of TNT. I've got to wonder what 15000 tons of TNT would do to the ice berg.
That is one of the best programs programs on World War 2.That I have seen very good work
Wonderful documentary. We're pretty checked out RKJ and the Crowhurst stories now, but maybe it was less commonly known when this came out. Very interesting about the advent of plywood, the improvement in adhesive technology and basically how WW2 can be thanked for all of it. It's funny how home-made and low budget that first Golden Globe race seems now compared to the ludicrous expense lavished on sailing today.
my grandfather worked here, in the sex shop.
A welder is a boilermaker with his brains battered Out as my dad use to say 🤭
Thanks for posting this! Love it.
Back in the Old days many a smart ships were built, in British Ship Yards. There was work for Thousands of Workers. In those days it was very hard working. Today every thing is all modern technology.
American yap they don’t have in-depth coverage against Vietnam duty did they lose that one God’s gift to the world American
Who edited this ? 💀 unbearable to watch
They built better stuff then, then we do now
Pretty sure all sound and dialog were added afterward
IN THIS ERA, UNLIKE THE STAR TREK ONE WITH FORCE FIELDS BLOCKING ALL INCOMING FIRE. NO SHIP IS UNSINKABLE!!
I don't think Musashi sunk, I think it made it back to its home port, and has since been secretly repaired.. they'll unleash her in Pearl Harbor 2 which could happen any time now
what are you talking about
@dumbidiot4548 I think what they found at the bottom was a decoy Musashi, the real one made it back to its port. After losing the war Japan has secretly been planning to attack the United States again, it's been something they've been secretly planning Pearl Harbor 2.. I think they're going to surprise attack Pearl Harbor again in the next few weeks and unleash the Musashi again, obviously it's had a few updates since WW2.. Mark my words, in the next couple weeks Japan will surprise attack Pearl Harbor again, they never gave up their desire for conquest, they've just been pretending to be our ally this whole time.
@@petergriffin383 tell me that this is satire
@dumbidiot4548 No it's not, it's real unfortunately
What's really going on it's the middle class people in the lower class income that go to war for these rich people if they want to have a war let them go to war not us yes I served my time in the military now that I'm older and there's no win-win a war is politicians out of duke it out
They sead that they hit the powder room.a man in a plain sead he looked back and it blew up.
After what hit it there was not anything watertight.
The answer of the last question is in the ford magazine
Sunk yamato: but I'm supposed to be unsinkable! Teh biggest ship ever! the pride of a nation! Titanic and bismark: yeah...about that....
No safety gear of any description, not even a pair of gloves. Also, very uncomfortable looking, ordinary clothes, for work gear.
Lovely. Tragic. I’d be interested to learn what their university system is like, particularly the archeology department. It seems that a 5,000 years-old history is also waiting to be unearthed and determined accurately. The Antiguan people should be more directly-involved so that the island’s more complete history is presented & preserved for the information of future generations of all the various groups of descendants.
Eyes are moist....much respect toward this. Salute those who were involved!
