You know, this documentary was very fascinating for me, but its not because of how Musashi sank, its how her wreck looks like on the sea floor of the Subuyan Sea, when I first saw pictures of her wreck, I was in total shock because I had already seen photographs and models of the wreck of Yamato and when I saw Musashi's wreck for the first time these were the first words that popped into my head: "I was not expecting that."

WHEN MEN WERE MEN AND WOMEN WERE GLAD OF IT, BEFORE MEN PLAYED WITH EACH OTHERS HAIR, WORE MAKE-UP, AND WORE WOMENS CLOTHES AND UNDERGARMENTS, THEY DRANK DARK BEER AND ATE VEGETABLES AND MEAT EVERY DAY, they went to the pub to get away from their women and kids and talked about real things,

Absolutely fantastic. Given the fact orion still had no interiors no engines no boilers mo woodwork no life boats ECT yet fitted,, I must say there was less work in a pyramid. As of titanic all of the work to be lost including 3000 dozen eggs simply to be taken buy the ocean...

51:05 Wow, imagine if Adm. Kurita decided to push through with this attack. The Yamato and other IJN ships would've been able to score really big in this battle.

Thankfully germany wasted money on capital ships they could have put into subs and japan wasted money on these two impressive and beautiful ships instead of building more carriers and starting the war with even more naval aviators.

They said Titanic was unsinkable, but that ship got beat by a chunk of frozen water. Musashi and Yamoto both took about the equivalent of 15000 tons of TNT. I've got to wonder what 15000 tons of TNT would do to the ice berg.

Wonderful documentary. We're pretty checked out RKJ and the Crowhurst stories now, but maybe it was less commonly known when this came out. Very interesting about the advent of plywood, the improvement in adhesive technology and basically how WW2 can be thanked for all of it. It's funny how home-made and low budget that first Golden Globe race seems now compared to the ludicrous expense lavished on sailing today.

I don't think Musashi sunk, I think it made it back to its home port, and has since been secretly repaired.. they'll unleash her in Pearl Harbor 2 which could happen any time now

@dumbidiot4548 I think what they found at the bottom was a decoy Musashi, the real one made it back to its port. After losing the war Japan has secretly been planning to attack the United States again, it's been something they've been secretly planning Pearl Harbor 2.. I think they're going to surprise attack Pearl Harbor again in the next few weeks and unleash the Musashi again, obviously it's had a few updates since WW2.. Mark my words, in the next couple weeks Japan will surprise attack Pearl Harbor again, they never gave up their desire for conquest, they've just been pretending to be our ally this whole time.

Lovely. Tragic. I’d be interested to learn what their university system is like, particularly the archeology department. It seems that a 5,000 years-old history is also waiting to be unearthed and determined accurately. The Antiguan people should be more directly-involved so that the island’s more complete history is presented & preserved for the information of future generations of all the various groups of descendants.
